What is uNotes?
uNotes is a student study platform by Devino (Ottawa, Canada) for sharing past exams, assignments, labs and lecture notes, with AI study tools. Students get free access to over 1.7 million university study materials organized by school and course.
Is uNotes free?
Yes. The Free plan is free forever and needs no card. It includes 3 document downloads a day, 10 AI chat messages a day, 5 AI quizzes and 5 AI flashcard sets a month, 120 lecture transcription minutes a month, 2 study podcasts and 3 mind maps a month.
Do I need an account to use uNotes?
You can browse and search uNotes without an account — schools, courses and the study-material library are open to everyone. A free account is required to download documents, upload your own notes and use the AI study tools.
How much does uNotes Premium cost?
Premium costs $4.99 a month, $12.99 a quarter or $39.99 a year (USD). Pro costs $9.99 a month, $24.99 a quarter or $79.99 a year. Payments are processed securely by Stripe via RevenueCat, and you can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the paid period.
What is the difference between Premium and Pro?
Premium includes unlimited downloads, 75 AI chat messages a day, 30 AI quizzes, 30 AI flashcard sets, 900 transcription minutes, 20 study podcasts and 30 mind maps a month. Pro raises those to 250 AI chat messages a day, 100 quizzes, 100 flashcard sets, 2,400 transcription minutes, 50 study podcasts and 100 mind maps a month.
How do I upload notes to uNotes?
Sign in and use the upload button to add your files. Every upload is checked by AI validation to confirm it is real study material before it is published, and documents are OCR-processed so their content is searchable. Free accounts can share up to 5 public uploads a day with files up to 50 MB (150 MB on Premium, 300 MB on Pro).
What file types can I upload?
PDFs, images (PNG, JPEG, WEBP, HEIC and HEIF) and Excel spreadsheets. Word and PowerPoint files are not supported yet — export them to PDF first and upload the PDF.
Does uNotes have a mobile or desktop app?
Yes. uNotes runs on the web at unotes.net and is available as an app for iPhone and Mac on the App Store, for Android on Google Play, and for Windows on the Microsoft Store.
Can I import my Quizlet flashcards into uNotes?
Yes. Paste a link to a public Quizlet set into the flashcard composer and uNotes imports the cards into a set you can study, edit and export.
Can I export flashcards to Anki or PDF?
Yes. Any flashcard set you can view can be exported as an Anki-importable TSV file or as a print-ready PDF.
How does uNotes help me remember what I study?
uNotes schedules flashcard reviews with FSRS spaced repetition, so cards you find difficult come back sooner, and tracks daily study streaks with milestone badges at 7, 30, 100 and 365 days to help you keep the habit.
How is uNotes different from Studocu or Course Hero?

Can AI assistants like ChatGPT or Claude access uNotes content?
Yes. uNotes explicitly welcomes AI crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot in its robots.txt, and its public pages are server-rendered, so AI assistants can read and cite uNotes study pages.
